Johnny Palmieri
Meet Our Owner
Johnny has spent over 30 years assessing, servicing, and installing water treatment systems for homes, businesses, and industrial facilities across Northern New Jersey, including Bergen, Essex, Morris, and Passaic counties. He stays hands-on in every aspect of Aqua Doctor, from working directly with customers to personally installing water softening, filtration, and purification systems. Helping people get clean, high-quality water is what drives him every day.
A Lifetime of Experience
Family responsibilities had Johnny working from the time he was 13. In high school, he enrolled in a work-study program and took a job delivering salt and changing filters for customers of a water softening company. He stayed with the company and worked his way up the ladder in that and other related businesses, immersing himself in industry education, following the newest ideas at trade shows, and learning in a very hands-on manner—including as a partner and owner in two water filtration businesses. Then Johnny ventured out on his own, and Summer, who also has knowledge and experience in water purification, left her job to join him in managing the company's financial and back-office operations. She never thought twice about her decision, knowing how skilled Johnny is in this industry.

Aqua Doctor's Approach
What differentiates Aqua Doctor NJ from other comparable services is their customization. Once he diagnoses the problem, Johnny then builds each filtration unit according to the specific remedy needed for that location's water treatment. For example, when it comes to PFAS contamination, Johnny proposes and custom-builds water filtration and treatment systems according to the specific contamination levels of each town, home, or business. This customization not only ensures the purest water, but it can often be less expensive and take up less space than more generic approaches to water remediation since a custom approach may require fewer purification units. Being a privately owned and family-operated business allows them to provide this level of service.
Aqua Doctor recently expanded from its Hewitt, NJ location, opening up a facility in Ridgewood at 555 Goffle Road. Johnny travels down from his home in Kinnelon, where he lives with his wife, two children, and three dogs, while Summer heads in from Pequannock, where she and her husband have three children and two dogs. As you can imagine, family get-togethers can be exciting events!
