Already Have a Recommendation From Your Lab?

Here's What a Lot of Homeowners Don't Realize

Well water tests are often required before a home sale, a new well, or a routine safety check — and the report usually comes with a single suggested company. That report belongs to you, not to whoever it was recommended alongside.

01

Your Results Are Portable

Any NJDEP-compliant treatment company, including Aqua Doctor, can size a system to your existing report. You don't need to retest to get a real quote.

02

Compare Before You Commit

A treatment system is a multi-year investment in your home. A free second estimate lets you compare pricing, equipment, and warranty terms before you decide.

03

We'll Read Your Results With You

Send a copy of your report and we'll walk through what it means in plain language — and what it would cost to fix — at no charge.

04

Haven't Contacted a Lab Yet?

You don't have to start there. We'll send a technician to collect your water sample and submit it to a certified lab ourselves, then bring you the results.

Whatever Your Test Found

We Treat Every Common Well Water Problem

Custom-built systems, not one-size-fits-all packages — sized to your home's actual results.

Iron & Manganese

Staining, metallic taste, and cloudy water from oxidized minerals.

Hardness

Scale buildup on fixtures and appliances, dry skin and hair.

Bacteria & Coliform

Disinfection systems sized to keep your water biologically safe.

PFAS / PFOA / PFOS

Spill Fund-eligible removal using state-compliant POET systems.

Nitrates

Filtration for wells near agricultural or septic-heavy areas.

Radon & VOCs

Whole-home mitigation systems for volatile compounds in water.

PFAS / PFOA / PFOS in Your Well?

New Jersey May Cover Your PFAS Treatment Through the Spill Fund

PFAS — sometimes called "forever chemicals" — has been detected in private wells in parts of Northern NJ. Under the New Jersey Spill Compensation Fund, homeowners who did not cause the contamination may be eligible to have a treatment system installed through the state's Environmental Claims Administration (ECA).

Not every contractor is authorized to install a Spill Fund-covered system. Aqua Doctor is a state-approved vendor for POET (Point-of-Entry Treatment) installations under this program.

Why homeowners work with Aqua Doctor for PFAS

  • NJDEP-compliant POET installation & ongoing maintenance
  • Help gathering documentation for your ECA claim
  • 30+ years of NJ water treatment experience

Note: the consultation and estimate are free. If you need new PFAS lab results to file a claim, we can send a technician to collect the sample and submit it to a certified lab — that analysis carries a separate fee.

Why NJ Homeowners Choose Aqua Doctor

A "Water Prescription," Not a Generic Package

Owner Johnny Palmieri has spent over 30 years in NJ water treatment and personally works on installations. Instead of a one-size-fits-all system, every job starts with a full assessment of your water and a plan built specifically for it — what the team calls a "water prescription."

That approach has earned a 5.0-star rating across 166 Google reviews, with homeowners frequently pointing to straightforward, no-pressure consultations and careful installation work as the reason they stuck with Aqua Doctor.

Common Questions

Before You Call

Yes. Your test results belong to you, not to any single installer. Any NJDEP-compliant treatment company, including Aqua Doctor, can build a system from your existing results — there's no requirement to use whoever a lab suggests.

Not necessarily — most homeowners start without a test in hand. A technician will visit your home, collect a water sample, and submit it to a certified lab for analysis (lab fees apply, separate from the free in-home consultation). Already have results from a testing company? Send those over and we'll skip straight to your treatment plan.

The NJ Spill Compensation Fund can pay for treatment when PFAS or another hazardous substance is found in a private well and the homeowner didn't cause the contamination. Eligibility is determined by the state's Environmental Claims Administration, not by Aqua Doctor — we offer a free review to help you understand where you stand.

When a claim is approved, the state typically pays the approved vendor directly for installation and maintenance. We'll walk you through the current process during your free consultation.

That's most of what we do. We'll price a system for whatever your results actually show, not just PFAS.

Yes — the in-home consultation and treatment estimate carry no cost and no obligation to purchase anything. This doesn't include lab fees if new water testing is needed.
